Once upon a time, in the heart of Denver, a group of individuals found themselves united by a common concern—the rapidly changing climate. They were teachers, engineers, artists, and activists, each with a unique perspective but a shared sense of urgency. Aware of the impermanence of our planet's health, they decided that the time for action was now.

The group began by hosting small community meetings, where they discussed the latest climate science and brainstormed ways to make a difference locally. As word spread, the meetings grew in size and diversity, eventually evolving into what we now know as the Denver Metro Area Climate Reality Project.

Our Goals

  1. Educate: To raise awareness about the climate crisis and its impact on our community, providing the tools for informed action.
  2. Advocate: To influence policy change at local and state levels, ensuring that sustainability is a priority for our leaders.
  3. Inspire: To empower individuals to take meaningful steps in their own lives, fostering a culture of responsibility and action.
  4. Collaborate: To partner with local organizations, schools, and businesses, amplifying our impact through collective effort.
  5. Adapt: To continuously evolve our strategies and methods, staying aligned with the ever-changing landscape of climate science and policy.
